Where We Are And Who We See
Regent Dental is a private practice in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. We welcome new and existing patients, including people from The Muni area of Colne and across Pendle. The Muni Theatre is a well known Edwardian theatre in the heart of Colne town centre, and many patients use it as a helpful reference point when planning their visit to us.
We also regularly see patients from nearby places including Nelson, Barrowford and Barnoldswick, and from the Craven side such as Skipton. If you would like to come to us for urgent care, our team can talk you through appointment availability and help you plan your trip. We keep things simple so you can focus on feeling better.

Immediate Self Care Before You Arrive
While you make arrangements to see us, a few simple steps can ease discomfort and protect your tooth.
For pain or swelling, use over the counter pain relief such as paracetamol or ibuprofen if suitable for you. Follow the packet and pharmacist advice. Do not exceed stated doses. Avoid aspirin if you are bleeding.
Rinse gently with warm saltwater to soothe the area. Avoid very hot, very cold or sugary food and drink.
For a lost filling or crown, temporary filling material from a pharmacy can shield the tooth surface until you are seen.
If an adult tooth has been knocked out, hold it by the crown, the white part. If clean, try to place it back into the socket and bite on a clean cloth. If this is not possible, keep it moist in milk or saline. Do not scrub the root. Come to a dentist urgently.
If a baby tooth has been knocked out, do not put it back. Contact us for advice.
If you have heavy bleeding, a suspected jaw injury, swelling that affects your eye or airway, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or you feel very unwell, go to A&E or call 999. Your safety comes first.

What Your Emergency Visit Involves
We aim to make your appointment feel ordered and reassuring, even when the problem is unexpected.
Triage and booking. When you call, our reception team will ask brief questions to understand the urgency and offer the earliest suitable slot. We keep this simple and respectful of your time.
Focus on relief. At your visit, we examine the area, explain what we find and prioritise comfort. This may involve smoothing sharp edges, placing a medicated or temporary filling, re cementing a crown or veneer, easing pressure from the tooth, or removing a tooth if that is the best option.
Clear next steps. Once things are settled, we outline your choices for lasting care. This might include a full root canal, a permanent restoration or other planned treatment. Suitability and timing will depend on your individual assessment.
You will have space to ask questions. We will not rush you. The aim is to help you leave feeling better and informed.
